Submissions are now open for issue 4.

What we accept:

Writing- short stories, poetry, music, memoirs, articles (about film, art, philosophy, music, bands, culture, books, horoscopes, etc!)

Visual art- drawings, paintings, collages, photography, performance art, design. 

Interviews, playlists, reviews of work relating to local artists

What we don't accept:

We do not tolerate any work prompting hate or discrimination. We do not write articles to feature/promote your work, the person submitting is expected to write their own articles.

By submitting, you are giving Licorice Magazine permission to feature your work on our socials and magazine. Some submissions may not be used in the magazine.

How to layout email:

In the subject line please include the following: 

ZINE SUBMISSION, TITLE OF WORK (if any), LAST NAME, FIRST NAME, MEDIUM OF WORK, SOCIAL MEDIA/WEBSITE

Example: ZINE SUBMISSION, TABLE FOR TWO, SMITH, JOHN, ACRYLIC ON CANVAS, INSTAGRAM: LICORICEZINE

Please attach a pdf/JPG of your work, if it is a visual artwork please make sure it is the highest quality image. Please include the name of your work you are submitting and your instagram/website. If work is a written piece, please include an image/idea of image you would like as the background, if any. 

We would also love an artist statement if possible!
